Findlay Family Network
…… tackles family breakdown in the St Georges Cross and Maryhill area of Glasgow.
The Network was established in 2005 as part of our umbrella organisation Findlay Church, which has served our community for over 130 years and responds to the changing needs within our community, most notably “the toxic cycle” of family breakdown (Eason. G. 2008). Consequently FFN felt motivated to move the Church out of its building and into the local community.
The Network is committed to early intervention, and long term relationships with regular exit strategies for particular programmes within that support, and is committed to helping the community to make a difference with its support – not the other way around!
Our Vision
Through demonstrating Gods love in action, family breakdown will be reduced. We value parents and young people and empower them to dream dreams and to contribute towards their community in a healthy and positive way.
Our Mission
To bring relief from the immediate and longer term effects of family breakdown and encourage a healthy positive community.
How we do it
We seek to engage with the community by using three levels of support based on a model that transforms, delivers and sustains. For further information on these three levels, please visit the FFN web site.

“ I found myself in a bit of a dead end. I started drinking and it really got out of control. I came along to FFN, they got involved with me and my family. We did things as a family and for myself. I stopped drinking and got some volunteering experience with FFN. I really have changed the way I look at life and it has changed things with my kids for the better. I have now used that experience and found part time work, it’s working out well”
